Course Description

This course provides students with a thorough and practical introduction to modern software project management. The course covers traditional project management practices as well as emerging agile and lean project management approaches. Through case studies, students will learn how to plan, control, execute, and manage software projects.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:
    • understand how to manage projects using traditional project management methods
    • leverage agile and lean method to improve team efficiency
    • use tools to improve project management practices
    • establish project controls and a project management office for standardized project management
