Quizzes
Quizzes are closed-book and closed-notes and will consist of questions based on the readings, cases, assignments, and in-class discussions. The quizzes are in-class but given online through Blackboard -- be sure to have access to a mobile computing device with a Blackboard-compatible browser. They will consist of a mix of multiple-choice, multiple-answer, true/false, fill-in-the-blanks, and short essay questions.
Final Exam
The final exam is cumulative and is given in-class on the last day of class. The final exam is open notes and open book (see rules) and administered through Blackboard.
Assignments
Students are required to analyze and evaluate cases and prepare written case memos, solve quantitative problems, and create various project management artifacts (such as work breakdown structures, project plans, estimates, case reviews.) Short (5-10 minutes), well-prepared, in-class presentations of the cases or assignments are expected. In addition, students will be asked to elaborate on topics in short breakout sessions during each class period followed by 30-60 second flash presentations.
Blog
Students are expected to maintain a blog which will act as a personal journal and in which students will provide their commentary on how the material discussed in class relates to current project management techniques, approaches, and novel advances.
